and Dominique Gomez, Deputy Director, with the Colorado Energy Office (CEO)
presented to the committee on the Greenhouse Gas Pollution Reduction Roadmap
2.0. The presentation has been included as Attachment A.

Deputy Director Gomez
started the presentation with information on the statewide greenhouse gas
pollution reduction goals, why the roadmap got updates, and the process
of updating the roadmap. The presentation continued with an overview of
the history of emissions in the state and statutory targets.

Director Toor continued
the presentation with an overview of actions on strategic growth, actions
that CEO will initiate in 2024, and the updated trajectory of emissions
including the impact of near term actions. The presentation continued with
additional findings in the electricity, oil and gas, and industrial sectors.

The committee asked
a number of questions to the CEO. Question topics included cost effectiveness
of recent rule makings that impact the roadmap, land use legislation, parking
requirements and emissions, lowest cost modeling and meeting goals, and
modeling done by CEO.
