bill sponsor, introduced House Bill 24-1114. The bill creates additional
requirements for licensed animal shelters and pet animal rescues under
the Pet Animal Care and Facilities Act (PACFA). The bill requires shelters
and rescues to notify all licensed animal shelters and pet animal rescues
in Colorado at least three business days before euthanizing a pet animal
so that another rescue or shelter has the opportunity to take possession
of the animal.
