to the commission about recently submitted ballot initiatives regarding
property tax.  Mr. Penry and Mr. Fields responded to questions from
the commission.

Mr. Olme presented a summary of the Assessments Breakout Group. R. Fagan facilitated a discussion among the commission about smoothing and strategies to change residential/nonresidential assessment ratios.

Commissioner Davis presented a summary of the Taxpayer Relief Breakout Group, including discussions around monthly payments, expanding the homestead exemption, targeted relief for low- and fixed-income property owners, a non-residential value exemption, expanding the existing deferral program, and adjustable caps. T. Faust facilitated a discussion among the commission.
