Mr. Matt Becker, Legislative Council Staff, came to the table to discuss the committee's FY 2018-19 information technology (IT) capital budget request prioritization process.

Ms. Kara Vietch, representing the Colorado Department of Personnel and Administration (DPA), came to the table to discuss the department's FY 2018-19 IT capital budget request. The Governor's Office of Information and Technology (OIT) and DPA are requesting additional state funds to replace the time and leave tracking component of the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) project, plus related staff and support costs. The committee discussed the Joint Budget Committee's (JBC) recent actions regarding the HRIS project's FY 2017-18 supplemental budget request.

Ms. Brenda Berlin, representing OIT, came to the table to answer committee question regarding HRIS's maintenance and operating costs. Committee discussion continued regarding hosting and maintenance costs, and the IT procurement process.
