The committee was called to order. A quorum was present.

President Cadman and Senator Steadman presented Senate Bill 16-016. The bill proposes changes to the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD) funding formula and makes two changes not related to the results of a future election.



02:14 PM -- Mr. Dan Hopkins, President of the Board of Directors of SCFD, testified in support of the bill.



02:20 PM -- Mr. Jim Harrington, Citizens for Arts to the Zoo, testified in support of the bill. He distributed a handout to the committee (Attachment A).

02:28 PM -- Ms. Deborah Jordy, Colorado Business Committee for the Arts, testified in support of the bill.



02:30 PM -- Former Mayor Bob Murphy, Mayor Herb Atchison, and Mayor Jim Gunning, all representing local governments, testified in support of the bill.
