Senator Smallwood reconvened the meeting.  Public testimony for House Bill 18-1286 was heard during the Senate Health and Human Services Committee meeting on April 19, 2018 in Committee Room 271.  House Bill 18-1286 allows a school nurse, nurse's designee, or school personnel designated by a parent to administer medical marijuana to a student at school.

SB18-272 - Referred to Senate Appropriations

Senators Todd and Martinez Humenik, co-prime, bill sponsors, presented Senate Bill 18-272.  The bill codifies the existing Office of Suicide Prevention into law and creates the crisis and suicide prevention training grant program in the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment to provide assistance to public schools and school districts to annually provide comprehensive crisis and suicide prevention training for all teachers and staff.
