allowing physicians, physician assistants, or advanced practice registered
nurses to prescribe and administer FDA-approved drugs for off-label use.
Prescribers and pharmacists dispensing prescriptions for off-label use
will not be subject to disciplinary action by the Colorado Medical Board,
the State Board of Nursing, or the State Board of Pharmacy.

SB23-040 - Referred to the Committee of the Whole - Consent Calendar

Fields introduced Senate Bill 23-040 which beginning January 1, 2024, the
bill requires staffing agencies to conduct a Colorado Adult Protective
Services data system (CAPS) check for any employee provided who will have
contact with at-risk adults. The staffing agency is required to provide
results of the CAPS check and any subsequent notifications of substantiated
findings to the employer.
