Conf 24-Juvenile Parole Board - Favorably Refer to Full Senate - Consent Calendar

LeeAnn Brabec, Juvenile Parole Board Administrator, introduced Adrienne Benavidez and Robin Singer, appointees to the Juvenile State Board of Parole. Ms. Benavidez and Ms. Singer introduced themselves and spoke about their qualifications.  They also explained why they would like to serve on the board.  A copy of the Governor's appointment letters can be found in Attachment A.

 

Committee members made closing comments and thanked the appointees for their service.

Michael Tessean, Director of the Colorado State Board of Parole, introduced Catherine Rodriguez, Greg Saiz, and LaKisha Sharp, appointees to the State Board of Parole.  The apointees introduced themselves and spoke to their qualifications.  They also explained why they would like to serve on the board.  A copy of the Governor's appointment letters can be found in Attachment B.

The appointees answered questions from the committee about truth-in-sentencing, parole officer discretion, technical violations, risk assessment instruments, and criminal justice system perspectives.
