Senator Gonzales and Bridges, co-prime sponsors, presented Senate Bill 24-182, concerning the requirements to issue an identification document under the "Colorado Road and Community Safety Act" to an individual who is not lawfully present in the United States.  The bill sponsors distributed a fact sheet and another document from the Colorado Fiscal Institute (Attachments C and D).

Senators Will and Bridges, co-prime sponsors, brought forth an amendment to Senate Bill 24-090, concerining possession of identifying information while driving, and, in connection therewith, increasing the penalty for a driver who refuses to provide to a peace officer identifying information htat is in the driver's possession.  This bill was first heard in the Senate Judiciary Committee on February 14, 2024. 

The bill sponsors distributed and explained Amendment L.002, which addresses concerns raised in the previous hearing (Attachment F).
