The Capitol building houses the Senate, the House of Representatives, the Office of the Governor, the Office of the Lieutenant Governor, and the Department of the Treasury.   The elected officials in the building work to make laws and administer state government.

Our office provides educational resources to staff, citizens, and legislators so that everyone can better and fully understand the workings of our government. 

The General Assembly convenes each year in January.  The Colorado state constitution states that the regular sessions of the general assembly shall not exceed one hundred twenty calendar days.  

The Colorado Senate has ongoing employment opportunities available for the legislative sessions.   This seasonal employment is full time for the stated four-month period only.
