Eliminate Bill Limit Exemption Interim Committee Bills
- Recommended by committees that meet during the interim and are created by state statute, by resolution of the executive committee of the legislative council, or in accordance with the statute governing legislative interim committees; and
- Approved by the legislative council of the general assembly.
The bill eliminates the exemption from the bill introduction limitation for bills recommended by the following committees and approved by legislative council:
- Legislative interim committees created by statute, or by resolution of the executive committee of the legislative council;
- The Colorado health insurance exchange oversight committee;
- The school safety and youth in crisis committee;
- The early childhood and school readiness legislative commission;
- The water resources review committee; and
- The transportation legislation review committee.
As a result, approved bills recommended by these committees would no longer be exempt from any bill introduction limitation created by the joint legislative rules.
