Civil Jurisdiction Of County Courts And Filing Fees
Civil actions - district court filing fees - county court jurisdictional limits - county court filing fees - study. The act permits a person to file a civil action in county court when the value of his or her claim is $25,000 or less. The act changes the filing fees in county court and sets those fees based on the amount of the money judgment sought. The act increases district court filing fees and allocates county court and district court filing fees. The act requires the state court administrator to analyze case information and data to determine appropriate factors for potentially increasing county court civil case jurisdictional limits and for determining the how those limits are calculated.
