Senator Gonzales, bill sponsor, presented Senate Bill 19-200. Under current law, it is illegal for a person to remove an alcohol beverage from a premises licensed to serve alcohol; however, a patron of the Colorado State Fair, or of an establishment within a common consumption area, may leave the licensed premises with an alcohol beverage, as long as the person does not leave the fairgrounds or common consumption area. The bill expands this exception to include the National Western Center, when and where authorized by ordinance by the City and County of Denver.
