Representative Geitner,
bill sponsor presented House Bill 20B-1011. Under current law, a
state of disaster emergency may continue for no longer than 30 days unless
renewed by the Governor. This bill limits the duration of a state of disaster
emergency declared in response to any infectious disease, medical, or other
health-related situation to no longer than 30 days, unless the General
Assembly adopts a joint resolution that extends a state of disaster emergency.
