Senator Rankin explained the effect of the bill and discussed its need. Committee members received a fact sheet supporting the bill, prepared by Colorado Counties, Inc (Attachment B).

Julie Westendorff, representing La Plata County, testified in support of the bill. Discussion ensued regarding the ability to address the issues touched upon by the bill through county land use rules, and county limits on short-term rentals. Discussion followed regarding the scope of the bill.
