Christy Chase, Deputy Director of the Office of Legislative Legal Services (OLLS), presented the rule issue for the rules of the State Board of Nursing, Division of Professions and Occupations, Department of Regulatory Agencies, concerning certified midwives.

Sam Delp, Director
of the Division of Professions and Occupations, noted that the Board of
Nursing has noticed a rulemaking hearing for April 23 with a plan to discuss
and adopt by emergency revisions to the rule in question that do comply.

Chair Weissman clarified that, since Vice-chair Soper joined the meeting remotely, he would have to be marked as Excused due to the committee acting as a Senate committee of reference and therefore being subject to Senate rules.
