The committee was called to order. A quorum was present.  Representative Salazar, prime sponsor, presented House Bill 18-1076, concerning the Peace Oifficer Standards and Training Board revoking the certification of a peace officer who is found to have made an untruthful statement.  The committee heard testimony on the bill at its March 8 meeting.  Committee members received amendments L.008 (Attachment A) and L.009 (Attachment B). Mr. Ron Sloan, representing the Colorado Association of Chiefs of Police, explained the effect of amendment L.008 and discussed its need. Representative Benavidez explained the effect of amendment L.009.
