Cooke, bill sponsors, presented Senate Bill 21-153 to the committee.  The
bill requires the Department of Corrections (DOC) to operate a program
to assist offenders withacquiring state-issued identification cards and
other identification documents, as necessary. ByJanuary 1, 2022, each participating
offender must have a state-issued identification card upon release.
