	11:56:39 AM	Representatives from the Department of Public Safety, presented regarding the 2022-23 R-11 and R-12 operating budget requests. Katie Ruske, Office of Community Corrections Manager, Kevin Klein, Director, Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, and Joe Thome, Director, Division of Criminal Justice.
	11:58:20 AM	Ms. Ruske provided the committee with an overview of the requests. Ms. Ruske explained that the current system is almost 15 years old, and according to the department, needs updating.
	12:02:34 PM	Representatives explained that OIT has been involved in the project.
	12:04:48 PM	Members of the committee inquired about the costs associated with vendor-hosted servers for the project. Members also asked about why the department would not use a neutral, non-vendor server host. Members expressed concerns about having a vendor-hosted server, as the vendor may potentially increase costs.
	12:12:11 PM	Kevin Klein, Director, Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, provided the committee with an overview of the department's R-11 request.
