Senator Moreno, sponsor, explained SB18-072, concerning the ability to petition to have conviction records sealed for certain misdemeanor offenses.  He requested that the bill be postponed indefinitely.  He acknowledged that there is a patchwork of laws regarding record sealing and would rather have an interim committee review this topic more thoroughly.
