Health and Human Services Committee. The bill prohibits health care providers
from implementing a do-not-resuscitate order in an unemancipated minor’s
medical record without consent from a parent or legal guardian, except
in specified circumstances including when the parent or guardian cannot
be contacted for 72 hours. The bill places further protections on life
continuing care for minors related to court orders and facility transfers.
