Representative Melton introduced House Bill 17-1205. The bill changes the definition of salvage vehicle to mean a vehicle damaged by collision, fire, flood, accident, trespass, or other occurrence, and determined to be a total loss by the insurer or other person acting on behalf of the owner. Hail damage and theft are not included in this definition.



Representative Melton provided amendment L.001 (Attachment A).

The bill creates a new factual basis for unlicensed motor vehicle sales; increases penalties for the existing class 3 misdemeanor offense; credits fine revenue to local law enforcement and the Department of Revenue; and allows fine revenue to be used for enforcement of unlicensed motor vehicle sales.

Kraft-Tharp introduced House Bill 17-1224. The bill amends the pharmacy practice law to make unlawful the sale, compounding, dispensing, giving, receiving, or possessing of any drug or device unless it was sold, compounded, dispensed, given, or received in accordance with the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. The possession, sale, dispensing, giving, receiving, or administering of an adulterated drug or device, a misbranded drug or device, or a counterfeit drug is also unlawful. The bill adds mandatory civil penalties of $1,000 to $10,000 for each violation of an unlawful act under the pharmacy practice law.



Representative Kraft-Tharp provided two letters in support of the bill (Attachments F and G) and a copy of amendment L.003 (Attachment H).
