Representative Pettersen, chair, welcomed the committee and audience. Representatives Pabon and Wilson, sponsors, presented House Bill 16-1198, which requires that when the State Board of Education revises and readopts mathematics or science academic content standards, the board include standards for knowledge and skills related to computer science. They discussed the provisions of the bill and amendments and responded to questions from the committee.
