This bill was presented
to the committee and heard witness testimony previously on April 1.
For
tax years 2024 through 2028, the bill creates a state income tax credit
of $1,500 for child care workers, home health-care workers, personal care
aides, certified nursing assistants, and friends, family members, or neighbors
who provide care. Taxpayers must have an income of less than $75,000 for
single filers or less than $150,000 for joint filers to be eligible for
the credit. The tax credit is fully refundable.
