Representative Michaelson
Jenet, prime bill sponsor, presented House Bill 23-1256, concerning the
ability of a health-care professional authorized to practice in Colorado
to render care through telehealth to individuals located in another state.
The bill allows licensed, certified, or registered health care professionals
to provide telehealth care to patients
or clients in another state if it is authorized through an interstate compact
or other grant of authority
in the other state. The bill clarifies that the health care professionals
are subject to the laws of
the state where the patient or client receiving services is located when
providing this care.

reduce family separation caused by a parent's detention. The bill makes
several changes to the dependency and neglect process for parents who are
incarcerated in a state or local facility, including addressing: rights
for parents who are incarcerated and going through dependency and neglect;
dispositional hearings and treatment plans; permanent placements; and termination
of parental relationship. Representative Amabile responded to questions
