Representative Salazar and Representative K. Becker, bill co-prime sponsors, presented House Bill 17-1254. The bill removes the cap on damages for noneconomic loss or injury that may be awarded in an action for the wrongful death of a minor child and clarifies that the definition of a minor child applies to a person who has not yet reached the age of 21. Representative Salazar explained amendment L.002 (Attachment A).
