representing the Office of the Legislative Legal Services (OLLS), reviewed
the steps that the committee can take with a draft bill on a sunset report
and how sponsorship is determined.

Jennifer Lockwood,
representing the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA), provided an
overview of the sunset review process. A copy of a memo from the Legislative
Council Staff on the sunset review process was provided to the committee
(Attachment A).

Veterans Assistance Grant Program Sunset Review Hearing - Approve Introduction of Draft Bill

Program was being held in accordance with Section 24-34-104 (6), C.R.S.

Ms. Lockwood reviewed the 2023 Veterans Assistance Grant Program Sunset Review report (Attachment B).

OLLS, made himself available for questions from the committee. A copy of
the bill draft on the Veterans Assistance Grant Program was provided to
the committee (Attachment C). Ms. Lockwood and Mr. Imel responded to questions
from the committee.

representing the Colorado Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA),
testified on the sunset report. Lisa Stamm, representing DMVA, testified
on the sunset report. Stephen Otero, representing Gunnison County Veteran

DMVA, testified on the sunset report.
