The bill creates a state grant database and a program to help local governments identify and apply for grants. Representative Marshall provided a handout to the committee (Attachment A). prime bill sponsor, presented House Bill 24-1273, concerning the continuation
of the Veterans Assistance Grant Program and implementing the recommendation
in the 2023 sunset report by the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA).
The bill continues the Veterans Assistance Grant Program in the DMVA for
seven years, until September 1, 2031. The committee heard the presentation
of the sunset report by DORA at its February 1, 2024, meeting.
