Consideration of Capitol Cafe and Governor's Office Design and Renovation Proposals - Approve CBAC Recommendations

Rick Lee, Director
of the Division of Capital Assets, Department of Personnel and Administration,
introduced himself and presented on the proposed improvements to the Capitol
cafeteria. Mr. Lee responded to questions regarding the improvements to
the Capitol cafeteria area. Mr. Lee next provided an overview of planned
improvements to the Governor's suite. Mr. Lee responded to questions regarding
technology improvements to be made to the Governor's Office areas, and
sources of funding for the Capitol improvements. Materials for the request
are included as Attachment A.

Consideration of P3 Request, Department of Personnel & Administration - Anticipated Use of Lakewood Complex Property Approved

Thomas Kurek, Director
of Public-Private Partnerships, Department of Personnel and Administration,
presented a proposal to seek partners to develop unused and underused property
at the Lakewood Complex for use as affordable housing. Mr. Kurek responded
to questions regarding the planned number of affordable housing units in
the project, and certain contractual details. Discussion ensued regarding
the totality of legislative approvals for the project. A CDC staff write-up
on the request is included as Attachment B.

Motion Approve the anticipated use by the Department of Personnel and Administration for redevelopment of unused state-owned real property at the Lakewood complex through a public-private partnership for use as affordable housing with Capital Development Committee approval of the contract.
