He discussed the health exchange's mission, strategic plan, and the number of customers who purchase insurance on the exchange and receive the Advance Premium Tax Credit. 08:30:52 AM Mr. Patterson continued to discuss the number of individuals enrolled during the most recent open enrollment period, federal funding, and how the pandemic impacted health exchange customers' tax liability. 08:36:48 AM Mr. Patterson continued his presentation. He discussed the number of individuals who are eligible for health insurance, but who are not enrolled in a plan. He discussed the health exchange's efforts to enroll these individuals in a health insurance plan. He discussed the cost of coverage for individuals purchasing insurance through the exchange. He told the committee that on average, individuals who qualified for financial help in 2021 are paying a premium of $152 per month . 08:41:07 AM Brian Braun, Chief Financial Officer, presented on the health exchange's Fiscal Year 2022 budget. Mr. Braun told the committee that the baseline budget shows a continued higher level of total expenditures for FY 22 due to the increased level of technology development work. He explianed that through the improvements gained by the technology modernization effort and reduced software development activity, expenditures are forecasted to drop to a sustainable level in FY 23.
