Senator Hill, chair, called the meeting to order. Senator Todd, sponsor, presented Senate Bill 16-104 which concerns incentives to become a teacher in rural school districts in Colorado. She distributed a copy of amendment L.001 (Attachment A). Senator Todd spoke about the importance of getting quality teachers in rural school districts. Senator Sonnenberg joined Senator Todd at the table to express his support for the bill. The sponsors answered questions from the committee.
