Senator Grantham, prime sponsor, presented House Bill 16-1383, which requires the Department of Human Services to initiate a child welfare data analytic technology pilot program by September 1, 2016. The goal of the pilot program is to implement a state-of-the-art data analytics system to access, integrate, and analyze statewide data sources to calculate risk assessment scores for abuse and neglect for children in the child welfare system.
