Senator Rankin introduced Senate Bill 20-099. The bill changes the dollar threshold for economic nexus for purposes of retail sales made by retailers without physical presence in the state from $100,000 to $200,000. He discussed potential amendments to the bill and responded to questions from the committee.

The bill enacts the Genetic Counselor Licensure Act, requiring genetic counselors to be licensed by the Division of Professions and Occupations in the Department of Regulatory Agencies starting June 1, 2021. The bill appropriates $10 million to the Department of Natural Resources to open a new state park and improve infrastructure and amenities at existing state parks.
