Senator Martinez Humenik, bill sponsor,
presented Senate Bill 18-092.  The bill updates references in statute
to county "department(s) of social services" to county "department(s)
of human or social services."  This change reflects that county
departments use both social services and human services to describe their
local agencies responsible for public assistance, child welfare, and other
services.

Senate Bill 18-091.  The bill updates terminology in state law related
to behavioral health, mental health, alcohol abuse, and substance abuse
to recognize them as specific types of disorders.  This bill makes
conforming changes to other sections of statute where the original terminology
still exists.
