Senator Ginal bill sponsor, presented Senate Bill 19-073. The bill requires the Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) to create and administer a statewide electronic system of advance medical directives.  Senator Ginal provided a handout to the committee (Attachment A).  Senator Ginal discussed amendment L.002 (Attachment B).

SB19-061 - Referred to Senate Appropriations

Senator Tate, bill sponsor, presented Senate Bill 19-061. The bill authorizes CDPHE to promulgate rules that incorporate current federal standards for certification and recertification of self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) pressure vessels.  Beginning January 1, 2020, a SCBA pressure vessel must be certified as meeting all state and federal standards; and be within its recommended service life following certification, or after recertification or requalification in accordance with federal testing standards.
