Joint Legislative Library
The Joint Legislative Library provides nonpartisan library services and resources to members of the General Assembly and their staffs, the other legislative service agencies, other government agencies, and members of the public.
Services
Print Collection
The library has a variety of print and legislative resources available for use during library hours. Some of these include historical and current versions of the Colorado Revised Statutes, the Colorado Session Laws, House and Senate Journals, directories, and reference materials.
Please note that these materials do not circulate outside of the library.
Legislative Audio Files
Audio recordings of legislative proceedings occurring from 2012 to the present are available online here: https://sg001-harmony.sliq.net/00327/Harmony/en/View/EventListView/20210706/-1.
Audio recordings of proceedings from 1973 to 2011 are available through the Colorado State Archives. The phone number for the Colorado State Archives reference desk is 303-866-2358, and records can be requested by filling out a request form: https://archives.colorado.gov/request
Bill Room
The bill room is housed in Room 307. Individuals can obtain copies of bills, daily legislative calendars and journals, and directories. The phone number for the bill room is 303-866-3055.
Hours
Session (Early January – Mid May): 8 AM – 5 PM, Monday – Friday
The library is open on most holidays that occur within this period.
Interim(Mid May – Early January): 8:30 AM – 5 PM; Tuesday - Thursday; Mondays and Fridays by appointment.
